Garmin has launched its Fenix 8 series of high-end multisport GPS smartwatch in India, designed for athletes and adventurers.
The Fenix 8 series smartwatches come available in Solar and AMOLED versions, offering advanced tracking capabilities, new fitness modules, and improved battery performance to enhance users’ fitness journeys.

The AMOLED version of the Fenix 8 series comes in three sizes: 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm, and the solar charging model, with Always-On display functionality, comes available in 47mm and 51mm sizes.

These smartwatches can be purchased at premium stores and on the Garmin India website, with prices starting at Rs 86,990.
The smartwatches offer two years of warranty.
Garmin Fenix 8 series: Specifications
The AMOLED model of the Garmin Fenix 8 series offers a battery life of up to 29 days, while the solar model can last up to 48 days, according to the company.
Designed for athletes and adventurers, the smartwatch series offers daily training insights and body battery scores, along with advanced metrics such as endurance, hill score, and VO2 max.
It also includes features for strength training. Waterproof up to 40 meters, the device has a built-in speaker and microphone for hands-free communication.
Additionally, it supports voice assistant and voice command functionalities.
Health monitoring features
The smartwatch series offers several health monitoring features such as a morning report for insights into sleep, stress, and heart rate variability, HRV status to assess stress levels, a pulse oximeter for blood oxygen measurement, body battery monitoring for tracking daily energy levels, and women’s health tracking for menstrual cycles and pregnancy stages.
Moreover, the series comes with strength training plans and sport-specific workouts to boost athletic performance.
It includes a customisable morning report for health insights and a training readiness tool that evaluates sleep quality and recovery metrics.
The Garmin Fenix 8 series is designed to support a wide range of activities, including recreational diving, HIIT workouts, backcountry skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, surfing, and kiteboarding, the company mentioned.

When connected to a smartphone, the Garmin Fenix 8 series enables users to make phone calls. It also allows for off-grid voice command functionality and supports voice assistants for responding to texts and performing other tasks.
