Garmin, Apollo HealthAxis join hands to revolutionise digital healthcare in India

Garmin, a global leader in fitness wearables and health technology, on Thursday announced its partnership with Apollo HealthAxis, a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals to revolutionise digital healthcare in India.

This collaboration aims to transform health monitoring and wellness solutions in the country by combining Garmin’s cutting-edge fitness trackers with Apollo Health Plans, offering advanced health insights and personalised wellness programmes to users across the country.

“By integrating our advanced fitness trackers with Apollo’s trusted healthcare services, we are empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being with real-time insights and personalised wellness guidance,” Juha Villanen, Head of B2B Partnerships, Garmin, said in a statement.

Through this partnership, Apollo HealthAxis will offer Garmin fitness trackers as part of select Apollo Health Plans. This will allow users to monitor their health more closely and take a proactive approach.

Furthermore, customers who buy specific Garmin fitness devices will get access to Apollo ProHealth, a personalised health programme developed by doctors and supported by AI. This programme uses patient data to predict health risks and provide guidance for users to improve their wellness.

“Our mission is to enhance rural healthcare by leveraging technology to manage chronic diseases, enrolling patients into preventive health programmes across India, and utilising our service network to deliver comprehensive care,” said Dr. Sai Praveen Haranath, SVP, Medical & Strategy, Apollo HealthAxis.

In addition, the partnership includes a joint social responsibility initiative aimed at providing innovative healthcare services to rural communities in India. This will combine Garmin’s advanced wearable technology with Apollo’s extensive healthcare expertise to improve access to quality health monitoring in underserved areas.
