Tech giant Apple is set to host its highly anticipated ‘It’s Glowtime’ event on September 9, where it is expected to launch the new iPhone 16 series alongside the Apple Watch Series 10. The company is also expected to announce hardware and software updates at the event, as well as the launch date of iOS 18, watchOS 11, and other updates.
The event will be held at Apple Cupertino Park in California, US. For Indian audiences, the event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 p.m. IST (Indian Standard Time) 10:00 a.m. PT (Pacific Time) and 1:00 p.m. ET (Eastern Time).

The event will be available for live streaming across multiple platforms – Apple’s official website, Apple’s YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app.
According to reports, the tech giant is expected to unveil four models in the iPhone 16 series – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The iPhone 16 series is rumoured to have a glossier titanium finish, improving upon the brushed aluminium look of the iPhone 15 Pro models.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to be available for pre-order immediately after the event. According to reports, the base models are expected to retain their previous generation pricing, while the Pro models may see a little hike.
As per the tipster Apple Hub on X, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are likely to maintain their starting prices from last year, at $799 and $899 for the 128GB models, respectively.

Moreover, various rumours said that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to feature larger screens, measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively, compared to the earlier models’ 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays.
It is also expected that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be powered by the A18 Bionic processor, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be powered by the A18 Pro processor.
According to an Apple Insider report, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will feature the same camera arrangement as last year. It will apparently have a 48MP primary shooter with an f/1.6 aperture and a 2x optical telephoto zoom, as well as an ultra-wide-angle lens capable of taking photos at 0.5x.
The ultra-wide-angle shooter may see a little update, with an aperture of f/2.2 rather than f/2.4 on the iPhone 15, implying that the next iPhones may enable more light to reach the sensor and so improve low-light photography.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to feature an updated 48MP ultra-wide camera, while retaining the tetraprism telephoto lens from the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The rumours also mentioned that Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series with new colour options, including blue, green, pink, white, and black.
The tech giant is also likely to introduce the Watch Series 10 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 during the event.
The event is also expected to reveal an updated version of Apple AirPods, possibly called Apple AirPods 4.
