Apple has officially launched the much-awaited iPhone 16 series at its ‘It’s Glowtime’ event. The series includes – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be available in five bold colours – black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine, while iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available in four colour options – black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, while iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
Indian users can buy the iPhone 16 at a starting price of Rs 79,900 and the iPhone 16 Plus at a starting price of Rs 89,900. While iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available to buy at a starting price of Rs 119,900 and Rs 144,900, respectively.
Users can pre-order the iPhone 16 series starting September 13, with availability beginning September 20.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are built for Apple Intelligence, and feature Camera Control, the Action button, a 48MP Fusion camera, and the A18 chip, the company said.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max introduced larger display sizes, Camera Control, innovative camera and audio features, and a huge leap in battery life. The pro models come powered by the A18 Pro chip and are built for Apple Intelligence.
According to the company, Apple Intelligence unlocks new ways for users to enhance their writing. With systemwide Writing Tools built into iOS 18, users can rewrite, proofread, and summarise text nearly everywhere they write, including Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps. In the Notes and Phone apps, users can also record, transcribe, and summarise audio.
