Samsung on Friday launched a new smartphone under its A series – Galaxy A16 5G, with triple camera setup in India.
The new smartphone will be available in two variants – 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB in Gold, Light Green and Blue Black colour options.

Availability and Pricing
The Galaxy A16 will be available for purchase at a starting price of Rs 18,999. It will be available across retail stores, Samsung.com, and online platforms including Amazon.in and Flipkart.com, starting October 18.
“As part of the Galaxy A16 5G launch offer, Samsung India is offering a special promotion for its Tap & Pay feature. Users who complete five Tap & Pay transactions through Samsung Wallet will receive a Rs 500 voucher. This limited-time offer is valid until December 31,” Samsung said.
Design and Performance
According to the company, the device measures just 7.9mm in width, being the slimmest mid-range Galaxy A series smartphone so far.
The Galaxy A16 5G comes equipped with a 5000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting power for users on the go.
Powered by the upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, the smartphone offers hyper-fast connectivity and seamless multitasking, delivering a smooth and lag-free experience whether you’re gaming, streaming, or switching between applications, the company noted.
Camera and Display
The device features a triple camera system, featuring a 50 MP wide, 5 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro lens.
The smartphone comes with a vibrant Super AMOLED display, with a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen that delivers true colours, faster motion response, and others.

Moreover, the company said that Samsung’s Galaxy A16 5G sets a new standard for reliability in the mid-range market by providing 6 generations of operating system upgrades and 6 years of security updates., bringing flagship-level features to a wider audience.
The device is built to endure with an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, it added.
