Meta (formerly Facebook) has announced a handful of new features on Threads, its X competitor, to make it easier for creators and businesses to plan content and connect with new and existing audiences.

The new features include – insights, multiple drafts and scheduling functions. The company will bring these features to the web first, and explore mobile versions later on.

According to the company, the ‘insights’ feature will help users better understand their followers and measure the performance of their posts via a range of metrics about their content, including the number of views, replies, reposts and quotes on posts.

“You can also see the evolution of your follower count over time and the demographics of your followers – including their age, gender and locations. These metrics can help creators and businesses figure out what content resonates best with their audience, and help them tailor future posts accordingly,” Meta said in a blogpost.

The ‘multiple drafts’ feature will give users the ability to write and save multiple drafts of their Threads posts before sharing them with their followers.

Currently, users can save up to 100 of their best ideas for as long as they want, and post them when they are ready, the company mentioned.

Moreover, the tech giant said that as content planning helps maintain a consistent online presence, the ‘scheduling’ feature will help creators and businesses with this process by allowing them to create Threads posts and schedule them to publish at a later date and time.

Users can schedule multiple posts a day, multiple days in advance.

In June, Meta launched Threads API that enables users, especially creators and businesses, to manage their Threads presence at scale and easily share engaging content with their communities using their favorite third party applications.
