Music streaming giant Spotify on Tuesday said that it is rolling out the ‘daylist’ feature globally to both free and premium users. Daylist is a personalised playlist that evolves throughout the day depending on your listening habits.

The rollout follows the company’s initial introduction of the product to English-speaking markets last year.

In addition, the company said that it is adding support for 14 additional languages, including Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), and Turkish.

“With this expansion, many users will now be able to see our unique daylist titles in their native languages. Our product team worked closely with our local music and culture experts to infuse the spirit of daylist into each language, ensuring that the feature resonates with new users worldwide,” Spotify said in a blogpost.

Spotify launched daylist in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland in September 2023. In March 2024, the feature became available in 65 more countries.

Moreover, the company noted that after the expansion in March, 70 per cent of daylist users came back weekly to access the playlist.

“Seventy per cent of daylist users tune in week after week, millions of listeners stream it every day, and it has emerged as one of the most popular Spotify features that drives discovery”.

On devices where Spotify is available, simply search ‘daylist’ to bring up your playlist or head to spotify.com/daylist. You can also find the feature in the ‘Made For You’ hub.

“The feature updates multiple times a day, and you can view on the playlist page when your next update will be,” Spotify said.
